Texas OL gets Missouri offer

College football runs in Billy Harrison’s family. Currently, he has a brother at North Texas and he’s hoping to carry on the tradition once he’s finished with playing at San Antonio (Texas) MacArthur. And he’s already gotten one Big 12 scholarship offer that might allow him to definitely do that.
“I have an offer from Missouri,” Harrison a 6-foot-2, 252-pound offensive center that also doubles as a solid long-snapper, said. “I was very excited about the Missouri offer. I got it in the mail about a week and a half ago. I’ve not talked to them about the offer since they can’t call, but I might call them and see what they have to say. I don’t know if I’m going to commit early.

“They haven’t asked me to commit. When September 1 rolls around and if they ask me to commit, I might consider it.”
But he’s also considering several other options, too.
Harrison is set to camp at SMU’s Senior Camp next Saturday and he’s been given hints from the Mustang staff that a scholarship offer might not be too far away. He also camped at Southwest Texas State and the soon to be Division I program known as Texas State University told him that an offer is about to come, too.
“The special teams coach at SWT said I was the whole package and they’d want me as a center and a snapper,” Harrison said. “And I was told that SMU is going to probably offer me at camp.”
And don’t count out North Texas, either. With his brother there and his offensive line coach at MacArthur a former Mean Green player, he would be very interested if they were to extend a scholarship.
“I just go out there and get my assignments done on every play,” Harrison said.
