After Southlake Carroll offensive guard Sam Schwartzstein went from sleeper to an offered prospect in late April, another offer has come to bring his total to two.
The 6-foot-3, 257-pounder has added his first offer from Kansas after being previously offered by Purdue. After not receiving a lot of attention from the Jayhawks, Schwartzstein received his offer in the mail from the Big 12 school this past week. Both Kansas and Purdue are among the top four schools for the rising lineman.
"[Kansas] is high on my list because they're close to home and they have a good program," Schwartzstein said. "I'm still staying in contact with Purdue. Those two are up there with Oregon and Stanford."
Aside from Kansas, the other three schools in his early group of favorites have also piqued his interest in different ways.
"I like the education that Purdue and Stanford offer," Schwartzstein said. "I really like Oregon's program and I like both the program and location of Kansas."
Camps are next up for Schwartzstein but he hasn't narrowed down a list of which schools he'll participate at yet. With two offers on the table and a summer of several possible visits, Schwartzstein plans to make a decision before the football season this fall.
