Texas LB wants to see that first offer

HUMBLE, Texas - Outside linebacker John Richardson is a linebacker that wants to get some attention and with a good senior season that looks like a sure thing.
Richardson has great size at 6-foot-1, 233 pounds to be a quality outside linebacker at the college level and some schools such as Rice, Iowa State, Northwestern, and others are in the process of contacting him about those skills. Though no offer have come, Richardson along with the rest of his team are looking to change that with a big year.

"A lot of people say that this year, the strongest part of our team is the defense, but we're planning on being strong on both sides of the ball," Richardson said. "Hopefully we can shake last season off. We trust each other and we know that we'll pick up the slack."
Like any good player, Richardson wants to improve, especially pass rushing. That kind of work ethic has sparked recruiting interest and has him looking at maybe his first offer.
"Iowa State could be the first to offer," Richardson said. "They said if I play well in my first three games, things will work out for me. I'm also really interested in Rice because they have a good academic program that could help me get my doctorate in fitness training."
"I'm also interested in Northwestern as well because that's a good football program."
Richardson was an all-district pick as a junior for Humble.
