Texas LB wants strong camp showing

The camp season is starting to wind down and the remaining camp schedules are full up with young prospects looking to get in before fall practices start up for the college teams.
Linebacker Chris McGrew of Mansfield (Texas) is a part of that group of prospects who has made their way to numerous camps. Oklahoma State was the first major team camp to be attended by the 5-foot-11, 220-pound defender and now LSU is up next.

"I'm kind of nervous about that one because LSU is a school I really want to go to," McGrew said. "Hopefully I have a big showing on Saturday. The Oklahoma State one was fun so I hope everything goes well for the next one."
SMU and Arkansas are two schools that look like they could change his offer category up extensively.
"Those teams said there is a good possibility that they could offer," McGrew said. Hopefully it just happens soon."
McGrew is content with completing his camp schedule and then getting on to the season where Mansfield struggled last year. After a 1-9 season, his teammates and the strong linebacker want to make a big showing.
"We're hoping to make it to the playoffs," he said. "We've got to get past (Mansfield) Summit who took us down last year pretty bad. It's all about a city championship for us."
