Texas LB up for defensive POY award

Langham Creek, Texas, linebacker Jamar Williams is headed to the Houston Touchdown Club as a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Williams is also getting his visits rolling this month. "He visited K-State last weekend," Langham Creek head coach Tom Damel said. "When I talked to him it sounded like he had a good time."

Williams, a 6-foot-2, 205 pound linebacker has also scheduled a visit to Arizona State for Dec. 14. "I know he's going to take those two trips. Those are the two he is really looking at. If he needs to go ahead and make another trip in January to look at another school then he will.
"I know he didn't commit on the visit. He liked it but he went there planning on visiting Arizona State too."
