Texas LB thinking about trips

DeSoto, Texas, linebacker Victor DeGrate is starting to think about what schools he wants to take official visits too. And with offers from teams all over the country, he’ll have plenty of options.

However, he is only sure of one school he’s going to visit for sure at this point. That school is Missouri.
“I just like their school,” he said. “I get a lot of personal attention from the coaches. They all are sending me hand-written letters, not just one of the coaches like the other schools. It is kind of fun to see how bad they want you.”
DeGrate also said he’s thinking hard about taking visits to Arkansas, Florida and Georgia Tech also, which would leave the door open for one more team with teams like Arizona, Kansas State and Oklahoma battling for the final official visit.
“I’m going to have everything set pretty soon,” he said. “I really don’t have a leader or any favorites. I’d say they’re all about even and I could turn around and pick five new schools to visit, too.”
DeGrate looked solid last week against Garland, which is loaded with at least five Division I prospects.
“They were all over,” DeGrate said. “We didn’t win, but we know where we stand now.”
This week, DeSoto battles Arlington Lamar.
