Texas LB set for first trip
Spring (Texas) Westfield linebacker Chris Mitchell is preparing for his first official visit of the year when he heads north this weekend.
"I am visiting Western Michigan this weekend," the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Mitchell said. "It is my first trip, and I now have an offer from them. I am looking forward to the visit and seeing more about the football program and seeing the school and the campus."

Mitchell also holds a scholarship offer from SMU.
"I am still interested in SMU, too," Mitchell said. "I don't have any other visits lined up right now. I am talking with Texas State about possibly visiting there, as well. Right now, I plan on taking my visits this month and then making a decision."
