Texas LB ready for second trip

Marvin Byrdsong is ready for his second official visit this upcoming weekend.
"I'm heading over to Oklahoma," Byrdsong said. "I really don't know what to expect. I guess the biggest thing is that I want to meet coach Stoops. I know that coach (Bobby Jack) Wright is cool, but I'd like to talk to coach Stoops."

Byrdsong, though, still lists Arkansas (Jan. 18) and Texas (date not set) as his top two teams.
"It's still the," Byrdsong said. "I think that I could come in there and play right away, especially at Arkansas. Those coaches are so cool there."
Byrdsong is set to visit Texas A&M on Dec. 14 and is thinking about another visit to LSU. Florida State, a school he had set for Dec. 14, is no longer under consideration.
"It's just too far from home," he said.
Byrdsong did visit Mississippi State last weekend and said he enjoyed the trip a lot. But not enough to push the Bulldogs into his top group.
"It was neat to see some of the things that I haven't seen before," Byrdsong said. "That, too, is a little bit farther than I want to go away to school at."
