Texas LB not rushing into a choice

DeSoto, Texas linebacker Victor DeGrate, Jr. is still looking around.

"I don't want to call anyone a favorite at this time," the 6-foot-4, 230-pound DeGrate said. "I want to get a good look at schools and see what they offer for me before I start eliminating anyone. I like K-State and Arizona a lot and Oklahoma, Florida and Missouri are recruiting me pretty hard too."
DeGrate is racking up the scholarship offers and already has double-digit offers, including all of the schools he listed.
DeGrate earned first-team all-district honors as a junior while recording 96 tackles and five quarterback sacks.
"I was pleased with how I did last season," DeGrate said. "I missed four games with an injury and still put up good numbers. If I can stay healthy this year I should be able to do better this fall."
DeGrate plans on taking his slow approach to recruiting into the decision time as well.
"I'm most likely going to take all of my visits before I make a decision. That way I can see what all schools have on all parts before choosing."
