Texas LB is a hot target

North Garland (Texas) High School wide receiver Hubert Anyiam has started off the process fast with some scholarship offers, but his teammate and linebacker Jermaine Love is right behind him with boat loads of verbal scholarship offers and a few early written ones as well.
The 6-foot, 200-pounder says he's "all about speed." That helped earn him first-team all-district honors and break the school record for tackles in a season with 140 total. Colleges are paying attention and offers are already in.

"Washington State was my first written offer and Kansas State offered too," Love said. "I've got verbal offers from Nebraska, Iowa State, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and some others. They just need to see my highlight film and then they usually show up."
While Love looks to add double-digit offers within the next month, he's not about naming any early favorites.
However, he is beginning to think about a few trips.
"On May 30, I'm going to the Oklahoma State camp at Dallas," Love said. "That one I know for sure, but I'm still thinking about a ton others."
The spring football year is also in full swing. Love says that his team is looking strong as they aim at a solid senior season.
Starting his sophomore year, Love says that he knew his role was as a linebacker.
"I've always been one and I've never moved around," he said. "You could say I'm a natural linebacker."
Love also collected 10 sacks during his junior season.
