Texas LB heads North of Red River

One of the fastest rising players in the state of Texas has made his decision. So where is San Antonio Taft linebacker Darnell Smith heading to?
"I'm a done deal," Smith said. "I committed to Oklahoma State last night when coach Miles and coach Wyatt were here in my home."

Smith, who is 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, picked OSU over Texas Tech, Purdue, Rice and Kansas, said he just felt right with his pick.
"I actually feel really comfortable with my decision," he said.
"We sat down last night and started watching my highlight tape because my dad was late.
"When my dad showed up, they asked for his permission to see if I could go to Oklahoma State. He asked me if I was interested in doing that. I told him it's what I wanted to do, so I committed."
Smith is the teammate of blue-chip running back Robert Merrill. Both players have indicated that they want to play with each other in college.
Merrill is at TCU this weekend and is leaning heavily toward OSU over the Horned Frogs.
