Texas LB has top two

“I’m really just looking at Texas A&M and LSU. I might visit Colorado, but I’m not going to go there. I just feel like I’d fit in better at LSU or A&M.”
Those are the words of Bay City, Texas linebacker Nurahda Manning. Manning, who is 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, has been offered scholarships by all three of the schools.

Manning has yet to schedule any official visits because his team is expected to compete once again for the Class 4A state championship, which means it could be January before Manning is able to make his official visit to the schools.
His teammate and fellow linebacker Archie McDaniel recently committed to LSU. Manning said that McDaniel’s decision to commit to LSU will not influence him in any fashion, just as A&M’s signing of two Bay City Blackcats last February won’t influence him either.
“I’m just going to make the visits and then think things over,” he explained. “I’ve got it down to where I can focus on these two schools.”
Bay City is 7-1 this season. They are the Class 4A, Division I defending state champions.
