Texas LB has Big 12 favorite

An early scholarship offer from UTEP got things started off right for sleeper linebacker Anthony Smith. Now, the Friendswood (Texas) Clear Brook prospect is looking for more to come his way.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pounder has been taking in several camps so far this summer. Smith attended ones at Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma State, and UTEP. One school stands out early on.

"I really like Baylor," Smith said. "If they were to offer, I may have a quick decision. I wouldn't mind going there. I went on a visit there about a month ago and everything about it was nice."
Smith, early on, was aiming for a decision at the end of the summer. Plans apparently have changed.
"It depends on what offers come my way," he said. "I thought it would be early, but I don't know now. I don't see myself committing any time soon."
Smith had 70 tackles, two sacks, and eight pass break ups as a junior.
