Texas LB getting out-of-state looks

Madisonville, Texas linebacker Alonzo Whaley may be inching closer to his first scholarship offer.
At 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, he earned all-state honors as a junior for his play in 2006. On the same team as his brother, 2009 running back prospect Chris Whaley, he's been making plays and drawing attention. So far he's talked to a few coaches from Tulsa and Oklahoma State as he waits for his first offer.

"Oklahoma State has kind of talked about it," Whaley said about his first offer. "They're supposed to come down next month and talk to my coach more about the offer. I really don't know about that one right now."
Whaley says that he has a school that he really would like to hear more from.
"I've been looking pretty hard at Texas A&M," he said. "They've sent me a couple of letters, but that's been about it."
As for what's next, Whaley says that he's planning to attend an Oklahoma State camp. Out-of-state schools have invited him to visit, but he doesn't know if he'll make those.
With his brother right behind him, do the Whaley's plan to stick together?
"We've been talking about it," Whaley said about him going to the same school with his brother. "My mom would like it so she doesn't have to travel a long ways one week and then follow the other one the next. So, yeah, we'd like to stay together if we can."
