Texas LB changes top two

Marvin Byrdsong has had a top two for quite some time. But one of the teams in that top two has now changed.
"My top two now is Arkansas and Oklahoma," Byrdsong, who just returned from a visit to Oklahoma, said.

"I loved it up there in Oklahoma. I'd give my visit a perfect 10. I really liked it."
Byrdsong, who is 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, said the biggest thing that sold him on the Sooners to push Texas from the co-leader spot was the fact that he thinks he can play early in Norman.
"Coach Stoops is the man," Byrdsong said. "He just came right up to me when I got there and said we need linebackers. He told me to go look at the depth chart and to talk to the guys on the team.
"He said I could be a guy that comes in and makes an impact as a true freshman."
Byrdsong is now set to visit Texas A&M next weekend and is also set to visit Arkansas on Jan. 18. He does not have an official date with Texas yet said that might be eventually set up for Jan. 11. He has already visited Mississippi State back on Nov. 30.
"I think I saw some good things this weekend," Byrdsong said. "I liked everything I saw."
