Texas LB adds more offers

Arlington (Texas) Bowie outside linebacker Marcus McGraw is becoming one of the more heavily recruited defenders in the Metroplex. The 5-foot-10, 210-pounder already had scholarship offers from Buffalo and Rice, but he said he recently picked up new offers from Tulsa and Washington State.
"I'm mainly hearing from Tulsa and Washington State," he said. "Tulsa offered me and Washington State has too. I already had the other offers, so it was nice to get even more on the table. I've been to like two camps. I went to the Houston camp and the UTEP camp. They went pretty good. The Houston camp was pretty cool."

After having a good junior season on offense, it looks like defense will be where he plays at on the next level. He did put up good numbers in 2006 on defense. He recorded 132 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, five sacks and two pass breakups.
"We're looking pretty good this year," he said. "I expect for us to go pretty far into the playoffs. Our defense has a lot of returning starters. Most likely I'll just be on defense this year. I could play on either side, but most schools say they want me at outside linebacker now."
When it comes time to make a decision, McGraw said he's going to look at things like distance from home.
"Yeah location probably will be a big factor," he said. "I'd like to stay close to home. I'm not just going to put them down because they are far away. I'll still be looking at them if they're a good school. I would just prefer to stay closer to home."
He said he'd like to make a decision after his senior season is over with.
