Texas lands huge commitment

Lose the Big 12 Championship game; win one of the biggest commitments for your Class of 2002. That was the story of the weekend for the Texas Longhorns.
Texas has landed a commitment from Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite linebacker Aaron Harris.

The 6-foot, 230-pound Rivals100 selection said he committed to Texas earlier today, picking the Horns over A&M, Oklahoma, Florida and countless others.
"I was sitting with my family yesterday and we were talking about how it was the place for me and I should just go ahead and commit," Harris said.
Harris' pledge ends a long debates as to whether or not the inside linebacker was quietly leaning toward UT. He's now more than leaning - he's committed.
"It was hard telling the other schools no," Harris said. "But I had to do what is best for me."
Harris said he ended up picking Texas over Oklahoma in the end. He is set to visit Austin on Dec. 14.
