The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder earned second-team all-district honors in 2003 while connecting on 14-of-18 field goals including a long of 44 yards. He also averaged 41 yards per punt with a long of 56 yards.
Jordan thought Fodge was a good pickup for Les Miles’ Cowboys.
“He consistently puts the ball into the end zone when kicking deep,” Jordan said. “He has a powerful leg and is a very smart player.”
Fodge had camped at Oklahoma State as well as taking in the SMU football camp. Both schools had extended scholarship offers.
