Texas ILB names a favorite

Pearland, Texas inside linebacker Scott Derry, who is 6-foot-3, 225 pounds has added letters from Illinois, Southern Mississippi, Ohio, Navy, Army, Arizona, Arizona State, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, Texas, Texas Tech, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, UCLA, Rice, TCU, SMU, BYU, Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech and Boston College to his previous list.

"Texas is probably the favorite now. The most letters are coming from Iowa, Texas and Boston College now."

He would like to make visits to:

Texas - "I like Austin, the coaches and players. I took an unofficial visit there last week for the spring game and I liked the campus."

Texas A&M - "It's close to home and on an unofficial visit there, I liked the coaches, town and the defense is great."

Colorado - "The location is good there."

Stanford - "They have great academics."

Boston College - "It's close to where my father lives."

He has increased his squat to 435 pounds.
