Texas fullback gets first offer

Junior to Watch: Chris Alexander
School: Humble, Texas

Position: Fullback
Size and speed: Alexander is 5-foot-11, 230 pounds and he ran a 4.6 hand-held timed 40-yard dash on his high school track.
Statistics: In his junior season, he had approximately 120 carries for 890 yards, scoring 12 touchdowns. He also had nine receptions for 240 yards, scoring four touchdowns.
Honors: He was the district MVP as well as his team's back of the year.
Favorite Schools: He has an offer from Arkansas and is also getting regular mail from Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, LSU, Nebraska, UCLA, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin and Houston.
"Arkansas, UCLA, LSU and Oklahoma State are the schools probably recruiting the hardest over all," he said.
If a decision were to be made today, Texas A&M would be the top contender.
Skinny: Alexander attended the Nike camp on May 4 and will attend the Texas A&M junior day on May 18.
His dream school is Texas A&M, which also happens to be his favorite of the schools he's hearing from.
He plans to major in business and has set his sports goal for next season as the state championship for the team and 1,500 hundred yards rushing and 20 touchdowns personally.
"Kingwood would be my toughest opponent," he said. "The whole team was tough. I couldn't pick out just one - the whole team was tough."
Alexander benches 385 pounds, squats 525 pounds and has a vertical leap of 31. He has a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and an ACT score of 18.
