Texas DT still solid

Odessa (Texas) Permian defensive tackle Tate Pittman made his choice in March. Eight months later, he's still set.

"I'm still committed to Texas A&M," the 6-foot-6, 285-pound Pittman said. "I'm solid. No other schools are calling me at all."
Pittman's squad has wrapped up their season with a 5-5 mark.
"Our season wasn't as good as we would have liked, obviously. But I feel I did alright this year."
The only date Pittman will be filling this winter is his official trip to College Station.
"I'm going to take my official trip to A&M on Dec. 13. I guess they're having a lot of people in that weekend."
Pittman thought the Aggies' performance on the field was pretty good Saturday against the Sooners.
"They did very good in the game. I was happy about it. Maybe that game can help put to rest the talk of Coach Slocum losing his job. He never was going anywhere before, but maybe this will make it go away."
