Texas DT one to keep an eye on

Fred Jackson should have been playing football 30 years ago. While most recruits are busy going to camps and working out preparing for the next season, the Hallsville, Texas, defensive tackle is just trying to make a living.
"I wish I could have made it to some of the camps." Jackson, who is 6-foot-4, 280-pounds and has been clocked at 5.1 seconds in the 40-yard dash, said. "I've just been to busy with work. There are some things you just have to do."

All of the work has not kept the schools from noticing Jackson, though.
"I have an offer from Iowa State, but they wanted me to commit early so I may or may not still have that," Jackson said.
"I am also interested in Baylor, Oklahoma, Houston, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Texas, Arkansas and Nebraska."Jackson said he has no timetable for his decision he is just merely taking a wait and see approach to the recruiting game.
