Texas DT has two in the lead

Things are picking up steadily for another top prospect from South Garland (Texas) High School. This time it's defensive tackle Demarcus Lattire who has grabbed some new scholarship offers.
The 6-foot-2, 285-pounder recently found out that several other teams, other than Oklahoma State who came in first, would be making offers. With his count at five, Lattire has a few new favorites leading the way.

"I'd say it's probably Kansas State and Oklahoma State above everyone else," Lattire said. "It's Big 12 man. I just love the competition. I've talked with coach Mo Latimore on the phone from K-State and the coaches at Oklahoma State too.
"Oklahoma State has offered me but also John Turner and Tejay Johnson. We saw coach Mike Gundy watching us at practice this past week."
While his offers grow and two teams lead the way, that still doesn't mean the talented defensive lineman has settled on visits just yet.
Lattire just has a few in mind.
"I was thinking about heading up to Kansas State," he said. "One of our coaches here at South Garland went there and he wants me to just see what it's like. I also might head out to Oklahoma State too this summer."
Along with his teammates at South Garland, Lattire just wrapped up spring practice and is patiently awaiting the spring game Tuesday night.
"We're looking good out there," he said. "We've been preparing all spring for a big year and we're going to show some people what we can do."
