Size and Speed: Porter is 6-foot-2, 290 pounds and ran a 5.3 hand held timed 40-yard dash on turf at his high school.
Statistics: He had 40-plus tackles, 40 quarterback pressures, eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and caused three fumbles.

Favorite Schools: He is hearing from Kansas, Baylor, Virginia, TCU, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Indiana, Alabama, Iowa, Rice, Louisiana LaFayette, Arkansas, Kansas State, and LSU. "Kansas, Alabama, LSU and Virginia are recruiting me the hardest."
If he had to make a decision today, his favorite would be Maryland or Virginia Tech.
He would choose to take visits to the following schools:
1. Maryland - "I know people there. The campus is nice, and it would be a nice place to go."
2. Virginia Tech - "The football program, specifically the style of defense."
3. Connecticut - "It would be a good educational opportunity."
4. Virginia - "Good educational opportunity, also."
5. Kansas - "They're recruiting me, and they've answered all my questions very helpfully."
Skinny: His strong points are, "I fire off the ball, hit with power and tackle well." He described himself as a hard hitting player and compared his style of play to Warren Sapp of Tampa Bay and Tony Seragusa of Baltimore.
"Distance will not be a factor, as the main factor will be the education standards for my selected major."
At this time, he would like to possibly major in sports management, in order to become a football coach.
He has set his sports goal for next season as 50 tackles and an undefeated season.
He benches 335 pounds and squats 535 pounds.
He will take the ACT or SAT sometime this summer.
