Junior to Watch: Michael Borders
School: Tatum, Texas

Position: Defensive end/Tight end
Size and Speed: Michael Borders is 6–foot-4 and 230 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.7 seconds.
Statistics: As a junior last season he had 97 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 11 fumble recoveries, nine sacks and two interceptions on defense, while catching five passes for 110 yards on offense.
Honors: He made first team all-district and all-east Texas, as well as second team all-state.
Favorite Schools: He is hearing from Nebraska, Miami, Florida, Texas A&M, Texas Christian, Memphis, Southern Methodist, Texas, UCLA, Princeton, Dartmouth, Oklahoma State, UNLV, Georgetown, Duke, Baylor and others.
"Baylor is recruiting the hardest, though I'm leaning more towards Memphis at this time."
However, he would like to take his visits to:
Texas - "I liked the campus on an unofficial visit there and I like their style of play."
Oklahoma - "I like the way they play, particularly their attitude on the field and style." His dream school if they offered, would be Oklahoma.
UCLA - "I want to learn more about that college."
Miami - "Defensive style of play."
Florida - "Their offensive style of play."
Skinny: "Distance will not be much of a factor."
He plans to attend camp at "TCU and possibly Nebraska or Kansas State."
He said of his strong points: "Finding the ball, rushing and my strength."
He described himself as: "An aggressive and quick player."
He benches 275 pounds, squats 410 pounds, and he has a 29 inch vertical leap.
He has a core 2.5 GPA and an ACT score of 18.
