Texas DE taking it easy

Alief (Texas) Hastings defensive end Alonzo Dotson knows things will pick up when the school and fall seasons start. That is why he is taking it easy these last few weeks of summer.
"I have been getting mail all summer long," the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder said. "Everytime we get it there is a lot of it for me from schools all over. This is only going to get worse when they can start to call."

Dotson didn't want it to sound like it was a bad thing.
"The coaches calling won't be bad," he said. "It's just that mail you can go through and take your time. The phone will ring and ring."
While Dotson isn't ready to make any decisions, he does have a top five list of schools.
"My top five right now is pretty well set," Dotson said. "Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida State, UCLA and Texas are the five I'm looking at right now."
All five of his favorites have offered him scholarships to date.
Dotson, the No. 13 rated player in Rivals.com's Texas Top 100, recorded 36 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks and caused one fumble during his junior season.
