Texas DE shifts some favorites

L.C. Kirkpatrick, who is the 6-foot-3, 255 pound defensive end from Aldine, Texas, ended his football season with 35 solo tackles, 25 assists, four sacks, five quarterback hurries and two caused fumbles.
He has offers from Baylor, Iowa, SMU, Purdue, Tulsa, USC and Minnesota, but he says that his top five are now Iowa, Nebraska, LSU, Texas A&M and Miami.

He has an official visit set with Iowa for Nov. 30. That is the only visit he has set at this time.
"If I had to sign today, I couldn't decide between the top five," Kirkpatrick said.
Kirkpatrick said he does have a favorite coach that he talks to, though.
"The most impressive coach, because of the way he talked to me, would have to be Coach Jackson of Iowa," he said. "He was totally real about the complete picture of college and college football. At Iowa the defensive linemen do karate classes to improve hand movements and reactions."
