Texas DE racking up offers

DeSoto, Texas defensive end Donald Horton, Jr. continues to pick up scholarship offers.
“Arizona just offered me last Thursday,” the 6-foot-2, 250-pound Horton said. “They are the most recent one to offer. I have offers from Baylor, SMU, Kansas, Tulsa and Boston College, too.”

The offers that have come Horton’s way are just a few of the schools he has been in contact with.
“I have gotten calls from Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado State, Tulsa, Tulane and Texas A&M,” he said. “It has been a busy month, so far on our phone.”
The traffic has continued at DeSoto High School as well.
“I’ve had a lot of colleges come by the school to see me,” he said. “Last week Oklahoma, Texas A&M an Kansas State were by. My favorite is Oklahoma. They have good coaching and they know how to use their talent to win games.”
Horton plans to take his time with a decision, possibly waiting until after his final season of prep football before making a choice.
“I would like to wait until the end of football season most likely unless somebody big like Oklahoma offers me. Then it would be a pretty easy choice to make.”
