Texas DE racking up calls, offers

One of the top players in the Super CenTex Region is racking up the sacks and racking up the scholarship offers. Belton, Texas, defensive end William Bell is now holding written scholarship offers from five schools and also getting several scholarship offers on the phone in the month of October.
“I’m playing really good,” Bell, a three-star prospect that is 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, said. “I’ve got around 10 sacks and a lot of tackles. Things are going really great. We’re off to a wonderful start on the field. We’re unbeaten and I’m enjoying every minute of it.”

Including the recruiting process that has seen Bell land written scholarship offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Arizona, Missouri and Oklahoma State. He has talked to coaches from TCU, LSU and Texas A&M here in September and October and things sound promising from them, too.
“I’ve gotten a lot of verbal offers,” Bell said. “LSU just told me on the phone last week they were offering me and so did A&M. I know that it’s not official until you get them in the mail, though.”
Bell has really enjoyed the process and likes talking to the coaches.
“They coaches are really cool,” he said. “Every coach I’ve talked to have been really down to earth and just really easy to talk to. I’m basically going to go through the process, talk to them all and give them a fair chance. I don’t have a leader at all now.”
Bell said he’s worked hard on his core GPA and should be all right in that department, but he’s concerned about passing his ACT.
“I’m taking that next weekend,” he said. “As soon as I get that out of the way, I’ll get those visits lined up.”
