Texas DE likes Sunshine State

Denton (Texas) Ryan defensive end Jarvis Moss isn't shy about naming his favorite state.

"I would love to play football in Florida," Moss said. "That is my top choice. Florida State, Florida, Miami, USF, UCF. Any of them would be good. They are in Florida. Football is just a notch above everywhere else down there."

The 6-foot-7, 220 pounder showed some very good skills last fall. "I had 122 tackles last year, 28 quarterback sacks and seven pass deflections."

The numbers recorded as a junior have led to a few early offers and several other schools pursuing him. "I've got offers from Texas, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Missouri already. But I'm hearing from a lot of schools." The list of other schools includes Oklahoma, Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Houston and Illinois.
