Texas DE knows that hes blessed

One defensive lineman who could be rising up the recruiting rankings is Garland, Texas, native Dale Dixson.
Dixson, who is 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, is one of the state's more well-rounded defensive linemen. Not only does he have good size, but he also has excellent speed and quickness and is always hustling.

In three games, Dixson has accounted for 22 tackles and two sacks.
The finalists for Dixson are Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Nebraska. All four schools have offered scholarships, according to Dixson, the latest coming from the Irish.
"At first, Notre Dame was always my dream school," Dixson said. "But the fact they're kind of far away is kind of a distraction. We'll just have to see. I go on my official visit up there in December sometime."
While the Irish may hold an early advantage, other schools look like they have made up considerable ground.
"I guess I like Texas A&M because it's close to home," he said. "I've been down there a couple of times. I like their facilities and I have a couple of friends on the team down there, too.
"Coach Venables at OU has also talked to me. I've watched a couple of their games and I just really like the way their defense plays. I also talked to the recruiting coach at Nebraska and that's a real good program."
With all of these outstanding choices, Dixson says he doesn't think he can go wrong with his college decision.
"I'm just blessed, I guess. I'm happy about it all happening."
