Texas DE keeps top three intact

Four-star rated Rivals250 defensive end Ugo Chinasa of Richardson (Texas) Berkner has had the same top three teams for some time and it doesn't appear to be changing any time soon.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Chinasa is living up to his national and state ranking as the No. 19 overall prospect in the state of Texas, with a boat load of scholarship offers that started coming in very early. A host of regional schools along with UCLA have been the ones to strike first and three of those are tied up.

"LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas are still above the rest," Chinasa said about his favorites. "They're close to home and I talk to those coaches the most. I've heard what they have to say about the campus, the classes, and how the defenses play."
"At the same time, no one is out of it just yet because everybody is still in the running."
Chinasa's openness to his list of schools also translates to his visits. Though he is sure to visit his top three at this time, others have made an impression enough to possibly garner a trip.
"I'm thinking about Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, UCLA, and Alabama," Chinasa said. "I mean there are over twenty offers I have to think about before I set those visits up."
Oklahoma State staged a camp at his high school where he and his teammates participated but other than that, it's been quiet on the travel front for the top Texas defender.
The traveling, visits, and thinking will come to an end sometime around the end of his high school football season.
"There is not a set date on the calendar to make a decision, but I've got an idea about the months," Chinasa said. "It will be probably be November or even October before I make up my mind."
