Texas DE gets No. 2

Waller, Texas defensive end Trevor Barry has gone from one scholarship offer to two.
Barry, who received an early offer from Rice, called and found that Army was the next school to put an offer on the table. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder says he remains open and is looking forward to several schools that plan to check him out in the spring.

"It's pretty cool," Barry said about the second offer. "I'm interested in any scholarship offer. I'm going to look at it for sure."
Barry says he's found out that Kansas State, Colorado, and Duke are just a few schools coming down in the spring to take a look at him.
"I get handwritten letters from Kansas State and Colorado, so they seem pretty serious about me," Barry said. "They wanted me to come to their junior days and spring games, but I just didn't have the time to go that far on the weekends.
"I think I'm going to try to get up there in the summer to visit those campuses."
Being the first offer, Barry admits he has high interest in Rice and the coaching staff. But, he doesn't have a clear favorite at this time.
"No not really," he said about a leading school. "I mean I like Rice a lot. The coaches are pretty cool and easy guys to talk to. I've liked them from the beginning."
