Texas DE enjoyed first trip

Sugar Land (Texas) Dulles defensive end Tim Washington has returned from his first trip.
"I just got back from Oklahoma," the quiet 6-foot-4, 235-pound Washington said. "I had a pretty good time. I enjoyed myself on the trip."

Washington was hosted on his visit by freshman defensive end Larry Birdine.
"Larry is a pretty decent guy. I had a good time with him. He's a pretty funny guy. He's down to earth and he told me how things were for the players in the program."
Washington had previously scheduled a visit to Ohio State for Dec. 13, but at this point, there are no other visits on the calendar.
"This was my first trip. And I don't have any others planned at this point. Oklahoma has offered me a scholarship just like the other schools."
Washington had a chance to sit down and talk with Sooner coach Bob Stoops following the game.
"He and I talked for a while. There isn't a whole lot he needs to say. He was asking me questions about things. About the school. About the campus. Just trying to make sure I had all the information I needed for when I left."
While not many recruitswere in for official visits, Washington said one player he knew for sure.
"Tony Cade from Lewisville was there. I knew him before we got there. He's the only one I can remember. There were just four or five of us."
