Texas DE could be close to commitment

Hamshire (Texas) Hamshire-Fannett defensive end Cameron Malveaux made a whirlwind tour of camps this summer. The 6-foot-6, 215-pounde defender hails from a small school and wanted to do everything he could to get noticed.
Malveaux made the rounds this summer at a number of colleges in the Lone Star State as well as one from a neighboring state.

"I've been to a lot of camps this summer," Malveaux said. "I went to camp at Texas Tech, Baylor, Rice, SMU, Louisiana-Lafayette, Houston, UT, TCU and Lamar. I think that's it."
Two of those stops proved very fruitful for Malveaux.
"I have offers from U of H and Lamar," he said. "They offered recently. It was probably last week that Houston offered me about a month ago when Lamar offered. I'm also hearing a lot from Baylor and Louisiana-Lafayette. I think both of them could be close to offering.
"I went to their camp at Houston. Two days later they offered me. They sent me an official offer in the mail. Carlton Hall, the defensive line coach, is my recruiter."
Though the recruiting process is just beginning for Malveaux, he does admit to having a favorite program and says a commitment in the near future is not out of the question.
"Probably Houston," he said. "They have a really good business school and I've always wanted to go to Houston since I was little. That was probably my top choice.
"I want to go see the campus soon. The coach said I either can during the season or next Sunday. I honestly don't know yet (if I will commit) but I guess I could."
