Aside from Texas A&M commit Derrick Hall, there is another 2008 prospect emerging at Beaumont (Texas) Central.
That is defensive end Brian Davis. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is already piling up college interest from the likes of Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa, TCU, and Baylor to name a few. One school has already been in touch with his coach about a possible offer coming soon.

"Nobody has offered yet, but Kansas state called my head coach and they were saying that they wanted to offer me," Davis said. "I get letters from all the others right now."
Davis says that he has a top three, in no particular order, that features Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Kansas State.
"It's really because I don't want to change my position if I go there," Davis said. "Those schools will let me play along the defensive end. In our defense, I play defensive tackle because it's a 3-4."
Describing himself as physical and quick, Davis is participating in power lifting and track. He's in the discus event for track.
The first-team all-district member hasn't been to any junior days yet and looks to wait a while for those with his busy off-season.
