Texas DE adds first Big 12 offers

Wolfforth (Texas) Frenship defensive end Ryan Haliburton received two more big scholarship offers to bring his total to three.
Haliburton started things off several weeks ago with a scholarship offer from Northwestern. Now, Texas Tech and Kansas State have joined the mix.

"Well, I got the offer from Texas Tech today and I got the offer from Kansas State a few days ago," Haliburton said. "I expected them, but at the same time, you can't be too sure on what you expect because you never know what might happen. I was very grateful for both."
Haliburton has previously shown high interest in Texas Tech, however he's not making a definite list of favorites yet.
"All the schools have good things about them," Haliburton said. "I'm just trying to wait a little while before I make any decisions. Everybody keeps telling me there is no rush. My coaches say that."
Haliburton took a trip to Manhattan, Kansas this past weekend to check out Kansas State.
"That went really well," Haliburton said. "I liked it a lot. The fans are crazy there. I had a feeling they were going to offer me. They offered me over the phone on the way up there."
Up next, the 6-foot-4, 234-pounder says he's trying to make it up to Northwestern at some point for an unofficial visit. He's also planning on hitting several camps with his high school teammates as well.
