Texas DB with a new favorite

Whitehouse, Texas safety Stephen Hicks appeared to be close to an Oklahoma State commitment, but a recent trip to another Big 12 school has him more open than before.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back says that new schools such as Arkansas and Arizona State are showing interest along with several others. Oklahoma State is the first school to offer the talented prospect, but he says that he's not set for an early commitment as much as he was.

"I'm going to stay open right now," Hicks said. "Actually, this past weekend, I went to Texas A&M and I'm looking at them real hard right now. They're in Texas and I like it. I just like the environment and it's just a good place."
Hicks says that he spoke with the A&M coaching staff and they haven't offered, but they are very interested.
"They were just basically asking me about football and how I liked their facilities," Hicks said about A&M. "The coaches just told me to be patient and that I'm in good shape."
The next trip will most likely be to Oklahoma along with a trip to Oklahoma State. He also plans to make the Texas camp this summer as well.
