Cromartie, who is 6-foot and 160 pounds, impressed at the recent Athens NIKE Training Camp and has been working hard at getting better this spring.
He has a 21.4 second time in the 200-meters and could graduate early and enroll at school in Madison for the spring semester.
Other Timberview prospects for 2008 include Texas commit Antoine Hicks along with running back Eric Akinyeye, fullback Jay Tolliver and athlete Rickey Booker.
This is Wisconsin's second known commitment for the class of 2008. The Badgers also have a pledge from Menasha, Wis., defensive end Tyler Westphal. He is considered the top player in Wisconsin and one of the nation's top defensive end prospects.
