Texas DB heading to Big 10
Irving (Texas) Nimitz defensive back Kenneth Thompson is heading to the Big 10.
"I committed to Northwestern," Thompson, who is 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, said.

"You can't beat the academics, the football and the town itself. It's just a great combination. No, it's the perfect combination."
Thompson picked Northwestern over SMU, Rice, Stanford and Texas Tech.
