Texas DB has sights set on playoffs

After his Copperas Cove, Texas team beat Klein Forest in the first round, emerging star safety Tim Atchison is still not thinking about recruiting as much as he was during the off-season.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect has gathered offers from an impressive list of schools including Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Purdue, UTEP, New Mexico State, and others. He is waiting until the playoffs come to an end before he takes the next step with visits.

"Purdue, Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma State are the ones I know I'll visit, but I'll do that when we're done with our season," Atchison said. "They all call me weekly and I like their programs."
Atchison is quick to say he won't be deciding soon.
"I'm open right now," Atchison said. "I don't have any favorites and I just want to take everything in and make sure that I make the right decision."
However, one factor that may play a big role in his commitment will be location.
"Well, I want to stay close to home but if I can't, then I want to make sure that the school I head to is a good one," Atchison said. "Plus, I've got to be at a school where I can get a good education."
