Texas center nearing a choice
Allen, Texas offensive lineman J.D. Walton has taken three official visits and that may be enough for the two-star center. He is discussing things with his family and could reach a decision in the next couple days.
"My trip to Arizona State went really well," the 6-foot-2, 288-pound Walton said. "I really liked about everything. I liked it a lot up there.

"I was able to hang out with the players and meet all of the coaches. I had some good talks and learned a lot about their program."
Walton had previously visited Colorado State and Iowa State.
"All three visits were good," he said. "Hopefully, I can make a decision from among those three schools. I am talking things over with my parents and we are talking about all three schools and what each of them has to offer. I'd like to make a pick soon, but we'll see how it goes."
