Texas CB ready for first visit
Longview, Texas cornerback James Pierce continues to receive phone calls from schools, but he has only scheduled one official visit.
“I will be visiting Texas Tech next weekend when they play Texas,” the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Pierce said. “That is the only visit I have scheduled. They are my top team and I think I might end up committing while I’m on the visit if I like what I see.”

Pierce is also getting calls and letters from SMU and TCU, both of whom have offered.
“They are both closer to home,” he said. “But, I like what Texas Tech has to offer me as a player. The other two schools are good programs, but right now, I have Texas Tech at the top of the list.”
On the season, Pierce has helped lead Longview to an unbeaten 7-0 record. He has recorded 57 tackles on the season and has intercepted one pass.
