Texas CB makes pick

Garland, Texas, defensive back Taurance Rawls made a visit this weekend and also made a commitment.
"It went pretty good this weekend at Kansas," Rawls, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound three-star cornerback, said. "I committed."

So why is Rawls a Jayhawk?
"I committed because the coaches were great and they showed me the love and cared about me personally," Rawls said. "The players also all stayed up there to be around for our visits. They could have all been gone already, but they were there and that was cool."
Rawls said he would like to be committed and still take scheduled visits to Kansas State, Texas Tech and UTEP, but he told the KU coaches that a commitment is a commitment.
"I'd like to take a few other visits because they're fun," Rawls said. "But the coaches said I couldn't, so I guess I won't. I'm 100 percent committed."
