Texas CB makes Arizona pick

Dallas (Texas) Kimball cornerback Cameron Nelson was just starting set up official visits and take his program to new levels, when he decided it was time for his recruitment to come to an abrupt end.
After taking a visit to Arizona over the summer, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Lone Star prospect liked what he saw and apparently that was all he needed to see. Wednesday evening he called the coaches and told them.

"Yes sir, I'm going to Arizona," Nelson said. "They have a good sports marketing program for educational reasons and then coach Mike Stoops is a great coach and I feel comfortable around him."
He had one official visit planned for Nebraska and was in the works of setting up a few more. It looks extremely doubtful he'll get to those.
"I'm going to talk to coach Stoops about it on Saturday when I call him," Nelson said. "If he tells me I can't go, I won't. My mind is made up, but I just wanted to see the campuses anyway. Either way it doesn't matter what I have to do because I know where I want to be."
After meeting one of his future teammates on his unofficial visit this summer, Nelson felt like playing time could be very early.
"I actually talked to one of their corners from Long Beach and he was a freshman last year," Nelson said. "He said they were real short on corners and he wouldn't mind having some help."
