Texas CB has taken one unofficial

Ennis (Texas) cornerback Patrick Roberts is getting some attention from schools while they await to find out his academic standing.
“He had a good season last year and is continuing that play on the field this year,” Ennis coach Sam Harrell said. “I don't know his exact stats, but he is having a good year for us."

Roberts will continue to work to achieve the necessary academic standing for schools to recruit him.
“Patrick needs to get his grades up a little,” Harrell said. “He has not taken the test yet, either. That is keeping schools from really doing much with him at this point.”
One school did have the chance to show the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Roberts around a little.
“Patrick went down to Louisiana-Monroe for one of their games earlier this month,” the coach said. “It was just an unofficial visit. I’m not sure how much interest he has in them or how much they have in him. He is a very good player, so if he can make it academically someone is going to get a good player.”
