Austin (Texas) LBJ cornerback Chris Houston is heading to the SEC, especially after making a commitment on Saturday.
“I committed to Arkansas on Saturday,” he said. “They came to watch me play basketball, and I told them that I’m committed.”
So why the pledge to the Hawgs?
“I committed because I really like the coaches,” he said. “I think they’re going to help me become a better player and a better person.”
Houston, who I set to visit Arkansas on January 10, said he still might take a trip to LSU, which is set for January 24.
“The Arkansas coaches told me that once I come up for my visit in January, then I won’t even think about visiting LSU,” Houston, who is 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, said. “I think they’re going to be right.”
Houston said Arkansas recruiting him as an athlete. He played running back in high school but many teams project him as a corner in college.
