Texas back takes first, last visit

Houston Jersey Village running back Ade Tuyo took an official visit this weekend to Tulane. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound two-star running back said it will be his first and last visit.

“I committed to Tulane,” Tuyo, who rushed for more than 3,000 yards the last two seasons, said. “I was really leaning toward Tulane before I went to the visit, but once I got there I saw everything that I needed to see. It was a great town, a great school for academics and the football program is on the rise.”

Tuyo said the news was well received.

“They gang tackled me when I committed,” Tuyo said. “The coaches were really excited. We ran and then started ringing the Liberty Bell that they have there on campus. It was so cool.”

Tuyo will now cancel scheduled visits to Arkansas and TCU.
