Texas back racking up yards, interest

Portland (Texas) Gregory running back Connell Davis has amassed more than 800 yards in six touchdowns this senior season to go along with his three offers – Missouri, TCU and Colorado.
"Missouri is on the top of my list," he said. "I plan on visiting there and like their up and coming program."

Davis (6-3, 210-pounds) gained 1,275 yards and scored 17 touchdowns last season with a broken bone in his shoulder. He was diagnosed with a shoulder separation after Gregory's second game and only missed 12 quarters in 2004, before looking into the nagging injury.
This season Portland is state-ranked, 6-0, and on a collision-course with district foe Calallen High School, which features Kansas State commit Brock Unruh.
"That game is circled every year," Davis said. "We should both be undefeated in district by that time and will be the biggest game of the season."
