Texas back has new top team
San Antonio (Texas) Taft running back Robert Merrill has a new leader.
"TCU is sitting pretty right now," Merrill said. "I was leaning toward Oklahoma State, but TCU is so much closer to home. I think that puts them in a good position. I have to list TCU up there because of that."

Merrill said it's not just the fact that it's closer that has TCU above Oklahoma State.
"I got along great with the team," Merrill, who is the No. 2 running back in the state of Texas, said.
"The coaches treated me really good. I got to go downtown and explore the city on my own. I think I would be a good fit there.
Merrill said he plans on calling the coaches at both OSU and TCU tomorrow around noon to let them know of his decision.
